Key Benefits

Zero Nickel Exposure

Kanthal (FeCrAl) coil contains 0% nickel, unlike NiCr (80% nickel) or stainless steel 316L (10-14% nickel). Forms a protective alumina oxide layer that resists oxidation up to 1,400°C.

No Capping Required

Open-top, postless design means no press-fit cap after filling. Compatible with all standard 510 filling machines including Thompson Duke, VapeJet, ATG, and Xylem. No re-tooling needed.

Leak-Proof Architecture

Patent-pending postless design eliminates the center post seal junction where leaks originate. Fewer sealing surfaces and direct airflow path prevent pressure buildup and clogging.

Under $1 Landed

Fully landed price under $1.00 USD per cartridge including shipping. MOQ 10,000 units. Free samples available before first order.

Transparent PA Tank

Polyamide (PA) tank resists terpenes, acids, and stress cracking without BPA. Provides clear visibility of oil level for consumers and fill-line operators.

0% Defect Guarantee

Every cartridge is 0% defect guaranteed with formal defect replacement. ISO-certified manufacturing with full quality inspection on every component.

How It Works

Step 1: Request Free Samples

Fill out the sample request form. Samples typically ship within 24 hours. Test compatibility with your oil formulation and fill line.

Step 2: Fill and Go

Open-top design works with your existing filling equipment. No cap to press-fit. No re-tooling. Simply fill from the top and the cartridge is ready.

Step 3: Scale Production

Place your order (MOQ 10,000 units). Standard lead time is 6-8 weeks. Dedicated account representative handles reorders. No long-term contract required.

Why Mono Uses Kanthal, Polyamide, and FKM: the Research Behind Every Material

Most cartridge suppliers can't explain their material choices. We publish ours. Smooth Supply evaluated seven heating element alloys, eleven tank polymers, and nine seal elastomers before selecting Mono's components.

Kanthal (FeCrAl) Coil

Kanthal is an iron-chromium-aluminum alloy containing zero nickel. Unlike NiCr (80% nickel) and stainless steel 316L (10-14% nickel), Kanthal eliminates the risk of nickel leaching into cannabis oil. It forms a stable alumina (Al₂O₃) barrier that resists oxidation up to 1,400°C and shows minimal metal ion release even when exposed to acidic cannabis extracts (pH ~4).

Transparent Polyamide (PA) Tank

The PA tank material was selected for its resistance to terpenes, acids, and environmental stress cracking. Unlike polycarbonate, polyamide does not contain BPA and maintains structural integrity when exposed to cannabis oil formulations over extended periods. The transparency allows clear oil level visibility.

FKM (Fluoroelastomer) Seals

FKM fluoroelastomer seals outperform silicone in chemical compatibility with aggressive terpene profiles and low-pH concentrates. FKM offers superior resistance to d-limonene, myrcene, and other monoterpenes that degrade standard silicone seals over time, ensuring long-term seal integrity and zero extractables migration.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the landed cost?

Under $1.00 USD per cartridge, fully landed including shipping. This makes Mono one of the most affordable postless 510 cartridges available at scale. Pricing may vary slightly based on order volume and custom branding options. Contact us for a volume quote.

Will Mono work with my filling machine?

Yes — Mono is compatible with all standard 510 filling machines with no re-tooling required. This includes automated systems like Thompson Duke, VapeJet, ATG, and Xylem, as well as manual syringe filling. The open-top, no-cap design means you simply fill and go.

What's the minimum order quantity?

10,000 units per order. Free samples are available before your first order so you can test compatibility with your oil and fill line.

What materials are used, and are they safe?

All materials are ISO-certified, nickel-free, and BPA-free. The heating coil is Kanthal (FeCrAl alloy), which contains zero nickel and forms a protective alumina oxide layer. The tank is transparent polyamide (PA), which resists terpenes, acids, and stress cracking. The seals are FKM fluoroelastomer, which outperforms silicone in chemical compatibility with aggressive terpene profiles and low-pH concentrates. The cartridge is 0% defect guaranteed.

What's the lead time?

6–8 weeks from order confirmation; free samples ship within 24 hours. Contact your dedicated account rep for rush order availability.

What sizes and mouthpiece options are available?

1.0 mL and 2.0 mL capacities with duckbill or barrel mouthpiece options. Duckbill is available in 1g and 2g, barrel in 1g. Custom branding on the mouthpiece and cartridge body is available at no additional tooling cost.

What oil types and viscosities does Mono work with?

Mono works with all cannabis oil types including distillate, live resin, live rosin, and other concentrate formulations. The Kanthal ceramic coil and direct airflow design handle a wide range of viscosities. Contact us with your specific formulation for compatibility confirmation.

How does the post-less design prevent leaks?

By eliminating the center post, Mono removes the two most common failure points: seal junctions that leak and airflow obstructions that clog. With no center post, there are fewer sealing surfaces, and the direct airflow path prevents the pressure buildup that causes clogging in traditional 510 cartridges. Read the full material research →

Where are the cartridges manufactured?

ISO-certified facilities with full quality inspection on every component. The finished product is 0% defect guaranteed with a formal defect replacement guarantee.

What's the reorder process?

Contact your dedicated account representative — no long-term contract required. Repeat orders can be placed at any time with the same MOQ of 10,000 units.

What's the defect/return policy?

Every cartridge is 0% defect guaranteed with free replacement. If any cartridges arrive defective, they are replaced at no cost under our formal defect replacement guarantee.

Do you offer custom branding?

Yes — custom branding on both the mouthpiece and cartridge body with no additional tooling fee. Branding options can be discussed when placing your order.

What makes a postless cartridge different from a center-post cartridge?

A postless cartridge removes the metal center post, eliminating direct metal-to-oil contact, the most common source of leaks and clogs, and the need to press-fit a cap after filling. This provides an unobstructed view of the oil level and simplifies the filling process compared to traditional 510 cartridges.

Why does Mono use Kanthal instead of NiCr or stainless steel for the coil?

Kanthal contains zero nickel, unlike NiCr (80% nickel) and stainless steel 316L (10–14% nickel). Nickel leaching is a documented concern in vape heating elements exposed to acidic cannabis extracts (pH ~4). Kanthal forms a stable alumina (Al₂O₃) barrier that resists oxidation up to 1,400°C and shows minimal metal ion release. Full material comparison data is available in our published research →

Is Mono available in Canada?

Yes — Mono is available in both the United States and Canada. Licensed cannabis processors, brands, and white-label manufacturers in both countries can request free samples and place orders directly.
